Machakos University proudly announces its recognition in the prestigious list of Top 100 Cybersecurity Women to Watch in Africa 2024. Among the esteemed honorees is Ms. Jaqueline Madara, a dedicated systems administrator in the ICT Department, whose remarkable contributions have earned her this esteemed accolade.

The unveiling ceremony took place on Friday 8th March 2024, at the prominent Strathmore University Microsoft Center. Representing Machakos University were esteemed figures including the Acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Linkages, Prof. Stanley Makindi, who had the privilege of applauding the Top 50 honorees and the acting Head of ICT Department, Mr. Dan Mulinge.

This hybrid event, organized by Konza Technopolis Development Authority in collaboration with Acyberschool, INFOSEC, ICT Authority, KnowBe4, Afralti, Liquid Intelligent, Communications Authority of Kenya, University of Nairobi, University of Lagos, University of Rwanda and Kenya Private Sector Alliance, brought together top professionals in the cybersecurity domain, including industry leaders like Liquid Intelligent Technologies. The culmination of this recognition will be celebrated at the grand award gala scheduled for June 8th, 2024 in Nairobi.
